3) StoryArt by An Ouyang

Overwhelmed with the graphic design options? StoryArt keeps it super simple. If you’re looking to create cohesive collages for your story posts, this is a great option. Not only are there great free templates, but it’s easy to add your own text and images.

4) Enlight Pixaloop by Lightricks

With Pixaloop, you can pull the focus in a video to one selection. Did you capture a quick video at the beach and just want to show the movement of the waves? You can combine the best aspects of a picture and video into one by limiting or adding motion. This app is worth downloading just to see what you can create! Maybe you took a photo and want to animate it! This app as so many options.

Pro Tip: A tripod is highly recommended if you want to edit videos with this app!

5) Werble by Horsie in the Hedge

A little pop to a photo can go a long way. Say you have a photo of fireworks or a mug of coffee. You can add a simple effect on top for a bit of extra intrigue.

You can even play with the color and timing of the effects too and layer multiple effects for a full firework show.

6) Stop Motion Studio by Cateater

Stop motion doesn’t have to be limited to those clay cartoons from our childhood. You can make your own simple stop motion videos with this app. With this app, take pictures and organize them in the order of your choice for a mini-movie!

Pro Tip: While this app works best with a miniature tripod, propping your phone against books or a makeshift tripod can work just as well!

7) Boomerang by Instagram

This classic app captures movement, reverses it, and repeats it, just like a digital boomerang. While the Instagram app features this tool in the story creator, having the app makes it easier to open and snap a video on the fly––without accidentally posting it to your story.

This app just requires a touch of a button, making it super simple to capture a funny moment.
